የቤተ ክርስቲያኗ ርዕሰ ሊቃነ ጳጳሳትና የቅዱስ ማርቆስ መንበር 117ኛ ፓትርያርክ የቅዱስነታቸው ዕረፍት የታወቀው ትናንት መጋቢት 8 ቀን 2004 ዓ.ም. ነበር፡፡ በሰሜናዊ ግብፅ፣ አስዩት ውስጥ ሐምሌ 27 ቀን 1915 ዓ.ም ሲወለዱ ቅዱስነታቸው በካንሰር ሕመም ምክንያት በ88 ዓመታቸው ከዚህ ዓለም ድካም ዐርፈዋል
ለቤተ ክርስቲያናችን ዛሬም ነገም እርስቷን ላናስነካ ቃል እንገባለን:: ቤተክርስቲያኔ ሆይ ብረሳሽ ቀኜ ትርወሳኝ ባላስብሽ ምላሴ ከትናጋዬ ይጣበቅ!! " በኃይልህ ሰላም፥ በጌጠኛ ቤትህም ልማት ይሁን::" መዝሙረ ዳዊት 122፥7
